I can’t believe I have missed the “Day of the Shoe” and this blog’s 2nd birthday end of last year. 15 Oct 2009 to be exact. Everyone who needs to know more about that glorious day should read the 2008 introduction.

Ein Jahr ist nun schon mein erster Blogeintrag alt! Ein Jahr! Im Internet eine halbe Ewigkeit. Obwohl ich keinen Schuhtick habe und mich auch nicht zu Füßen hingezogen fühle, fotografiere ich doch immer wieder meine Treter. So dachte ich mir: was liegt näher als den Jahrestag meines ersten Blogeintrags dem Schuh zu widmen.

Somit erkläre ich den heutigen Kalendertag fortan zum “Tag des Schuhs”. Google spuckt nur einen Treffer dazu aus, also wurde es Zeit, dass dies mal einer ernsthaft anpackt und etabliert. Nun, es ist es ein großer Tag, da wollen wir mal nicht mit Platz geizen, also gibts heut ‘nen langen Latschen zur Feier, der nur in die wenigsten Browserfenster komplett reinpasst!

Happy Birthday to my digital alias! As I was told today there’s officially one last English reader left. Before I get any further complaints about purely German posts I will try to reinforce the tiny English bits on this page. Otherwise just let me know what you think about it: both, English and German, or post only in one language? I don’t really care as long as I can convey all the stuff worth mentioning.

Problem is I am mostly too tired to translate the German text since I usually post late at night =) It depends especially on my mood what to post and how to formulate it. Oh that brings me to further questions: is there anything you miss on this page? Anything you would like to see changed regarding contents and graphics? And who is reading this and previous English paragraphs at all? 

I try to keep this scene as authentic and down to earth as possible. Keep it Gangsta. Keep it real. At the same time it takes me also a lot of patience and time to keep this baby running – I am bothered by loads and loads of shit since any freakin’ spambot has discovered my blog.

Fair enough. I stop complaining – I declare this day from now on “The Day of the Shoe”. Here is why.

Was schreibt man in den allerersten Eintrag auf der allerersten eigenen Seite? Hallo? Ja, das ist gut. Noch 1,2 (offizielle) Worte: der Blog soll Familie, Freunden und Interessierten ein paar hiesige Ausschnitte bieten – vor allem dann nach Würzburg, wenn ich einige Freunde nicht mehr 24/7 um mich herum haben kann. Viel Spaß.

P.S. Der deutsche Text wird wohl nie 1:1 den Inhalt vom englischen Text wiedergeben und umgekehrt. Dogi, Maddin – danke für Eure Unterstützung.

Well, what am I supposed to post at the very first time on my very first site? Hallo? Yes, that’s great. Alright, official pronouncement: this site shall serve my family, friends and those who are interested in what’s going on here. (It will hopefully rebuild my wrecked English as well.) Enjoy it.
