Snow is great, everyone loves snow. This includes me, I am also a “snow lover”. So, since I am such a big snow lover I did not mind to make an exciting trip to Gatwick Airport and back to Hackney since Frau Holle (Mother Hulda) likes to torture travellers by freezing runways, planes and railways.

As announced we have finally made it for some Glühwein und Bratwurst to the Christmas Market along the Thames (Waterloo) named after Cologne which made me expect thousands of people and stalls. But it was actually tiny, probably even less stalls than my small Swabian home town Aalen has to offer. Anyways, I have spotted something big at last: one mighty Wurst to rule them all!

I have successfully avoided Oxford Street/Picadilly Circus this year for Christmas shopping. Thank you www. Instead we had some really tasty Indian food (Clipper!) on Bricklane, less busy less Christmassy. Thanks to two chili peppers I swallowed at once I had a very stubborn company all evening called hiccup.

If you are too impatient to watch a full 2 hour movie I got this site for you. Ideal for the weekend, lean back and enjoy some of the 5 second films.
– Dmitri
– 1-900-BROTALK
– Ways to say no (and still be cool)
– The Treasure Troll
– The Party, Last Night
Basically there are 4 ways how to kill the time till Christmas in Hackney:
1 – gamble outside Eddy’s Cafe
2 – light a fire in cars
3 – watching undelivered Season’s Greetings piling up
4 – taking blurry photos of the very first snow this winter

“Lowlee, lowlee” as the life-size German sausage with Santa hat commented in his stall on the German Christmas Market in London. I have not been there yet, but I am extremely optimistic to get some Bratwurst, Glühwein and Lebkuchen finally this weekend! Meanwhile I watch this little film. Lovely.
