I was so knackered this morning and read tyPe instead of tyRe. Had to retouch the photo afterwards. Just imagine: a mobile typographic service, available 24/7!

Ich will in diesem Jahr eigentlich nur 2 Sachen gestalten: die Einladungskarte für meinen Dad und einen vollständigen Haar-Font (inklusive Sonderzeichen!). Drückt mir die Daumen.
Enjoying the first fairly warm days of this year I still listen to ‘winter songs’ as I would title them. Since I am playing the same three albums again and again at the moment you won’t find fresh sounds among them (well, possibly IARAP). By the way: the design of the Radiohead album “In Rainbows” has recently been awarded with a Grammy. see the article on fontblog

It’s been a while since my last post about work. Damn right – I do not spend my time only on saving pigeons, making plans for dummy arms or admiring myself in photo booth with my new glasses. There’s a job to be done.
We have designed the graphic identity for PTAL, a London based architectural practice. The whole appearance is reduced to the minimum. We dumped all colours and some letters and ended up with a rigorous, primarily typographic based design that includes logo, website, stationery and various templates. Compliments and thanks to Jan and Anne-Sophie, the parents of this project!
Let me know if you got any ideas what do with an extra arm.
Things I have learned last weekend at the design exhibition:
I like tankships (photo: Rainer Wengel); I don’t like people ignoring me; I am still able to defeat the former Kicker-champ Flo (with the help of Maddin); you get more to see when you talk less; doing fancy self-made type doesn’t necessarily mean it looks good; I am being stalked on design weblogs; information design requires more than just piling pictograms, generating colourful patterns and/or using the Akkurat-font; I appreciated to see more print projects dealing with information graphics; I don’t like smelly taxidrivers hitting the kerbs at 5.45 am and I cherish Polish hospitality.
Ma chérie France, je t’embrasse encore. Ici les photos. Took me a while to sort, edit and upload them and I couldn’t be bothered to make a smaller selection. Hope you like them though. (baisers particuliers à Anne-Sophie et Makk)
